That was 19th July, 1999 when I entered Navodaya I didn't have to worry since my two cousins were already studing there and I was issued basic necessites on that evening.
First day of class all were new faces, some were smily.. some crying... and some mump, after few days we undergone science test and I don't remember why that was conducted, then the class were asusual, intresting and joyful class used to be handled by Joseph Sir, once in a week, Jovial class was Maths (Our Balda Sir).We used to enjoy melodious songs in Hindi class ( Our Guruji/Bakara )
In fruit break, and snacks we learnt going for "DOUBLE TRIP" from our seniors and used to enjoy usual food...
On the first Suday it was August 15th I visited Marikanive dam with parents. enjoyed a lot-which I never got another chance to go there in my Navodaya life anymore..
